Easy 7-Layer Flag Taco Dip
Description
The 7-Layer Flag Taco Dip starts with a seasoned refried bean layer spread evenly in a large glass pan, topped by salsa and a layer of sliced black olives, shredded lettuce, and shredded cheese. A sour cream and cream cheese mixture is used to create a white flag square in one corner, adorned with crushed blue corn chips and small circles cut from provolone cheese to resemble stars. The remaining sour cream mixture is piped into stripes across the cheese layer, alternating with diced tomato pieces to form the red stripes of the flag.
This dish contrasts creamy, tangy, and savory flavors with crisp textures from fresh vegetables and chips. The layering adds visual interest and ensures a balance of tastes with every bite. Preparation involves simple spreading and decorating steps without cooking, making it easy to assemble ahead for gatherings.
Serve this dip chilled alongside tortilla or corn chips for scooping. It provides a colorful centerpiece for parties or patriotic occasions and can be adapted if needed by swapping ingredients for dietary preferences or availability.
