Ingredients
- 1 large egg
- 1 Tbs cool water
Instructions
- Break the egg into a small bowl.
- Add 1 Tbs of cool water to the egg.
- Whisk the egg and water together well.
- Pain the egg mixture onto the surface of the prepared pastry.
- Bake per recipe instructions for the baked good.
Notes
- You can substitute milk or cream for the egg in this egg wash recipe
- Use leftover egg wash in tomorrow mornings scrambled eggs, scramble up for your dogs food as a treat.
- Store leftover egg wash in an airtight container.
- If you do not have a pastry brush or natural bristles brush, use the back of a spoon. It's more cumbersome, but it works.
