Easy Asparagus Casserole Recipe

This asparagus casserole combines tender asparagus pieces baked in a creamy sauce made from butter, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, garlic, and garlic parsley salt. Topped with additional cheese and crunchy panko crumbs, the dish offers a pleasing contrast of textures. The baking method ensures the asparagus is tender while the sauce becomes thick and flavorful. It’s a practical vegetable side or light main that showcases asparagus with a rich, cheesy finish.

Description

The Easy Asparagus Casserole Recipe features asparagus cut into 2-inch pieces and baked in a rich sauce made by simmering butter with heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, and garlic parsley salt. The sauce is stirred continually until smooth and creamy, coating the asparagus evenly when poured over it in a baking pan.

The casserole is finished by sprinkling additional Parmesan cheese and panko breadcrumbs on top, which crisp and brown under high oven heat at 450°F. The panko adds a crunchy texture complementing the soft, tender asparagus and creamy sauce.

This dish works well as a comforting vegetable side or a light vegetarian main. Its creamy texture with garlicky undertones makes it appealing during spring or summer when asparagus is at its best. Baking until the asparagus is just tender retains some bite and freshness.
