Easy Bake Brie with Figs and Honey

Easy Bake Brie with Figs and Honey is a warm appetizer featuring a whole wheel of Brie topped with fresh quartered figs, chopped pistachios, and drizzled with honey. Baked until the cheese softens but maintains its shape, the dish pairs creamy, sweet, and nutty flavors with contrasting textures. It is served immediately, accompanying crackers or sliced bread for spreading.

Description

This simple baked Brie recipe starts by placing an unwrapped wheel of Brie in a shallow ovenproof dish, often a pie plate for serving. Fresh figs are sliced into quarters and arranged in a circular pattern atop the cheese, followed by a scatter of chopped pistachios adding texture and slight nuttiness. Honey is drizzled generously over the top before covering loosely with foil to retain moisture during baking.

Baking at 350°F for 20 minutes softens the cheese to a spreadable consistency while keeping the rind intact for structure. Once baked, an optional additional drizzle of honey enhances the sweetness. This dish is served immediately with crackers or thinly sliced bread, inviting guests to scoop the sweet, warm cheese mixture. The combination of silky Brie, fresh figs, crunchy nuts, and honey provides an approachable balance of flavors and textures.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 16 ounce Brie cheese
  • 1/2 lb figs fresh
  • 1/4 cup chopped pistachio nuts
  • 1/3 cup honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Unwrap the Brie and place it in a shallow baking dish that you can also serve the cheese in. I like to use a pretty pie plate.
  3. Slice the figs into quarters. Arrange the quarters in a circular pattern on top of the Brie.
  4. Scatter with the pistachio nuts. Drizzle liberally with honey.
  5. Cover the cheese loosely with foil and bake for 20 minutes. The cheese should feel soft when you touch the side of the rind.
  6. Drizzle with more honey and serve immediately with crackers or thinly sliced bread and plenty of napkins.
