Easy Baked Honey Sesame Chicken
Description
Easy Baked Honey Sesame Chicken transforms small chicken breast pieces into a sticky, glazed main course. The coating of cornstarch and egg helps create a light crust when pan-fried before baking. The sauce has a balance of sweetness from honey and brown sugar, acidity from rice vinegar, saltiness from soy sauce, and an aromatic touch from sesame oil and garlic. Baking the chicken in this sauce thickens it and infuses flavor throughout.
The cinnamon color and texture come from pan browning prior to baking in a 325°F oven, allowing the chicken to cook fully while coating it with the glaze. Stirring a few times during baking helps evenly distribute the sauce over the chicken pieces. Sesame seeds and sliced green onions can be sprinkled on top for garnish and added texture.
