Easy Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry
Description
The recipe starts with slicing london broil into thin strips, then preparing a sauce with soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, water, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and cornstarch. Broccoli florets are cooked briefly with water until bright green and partially tender, then set aside. Beef strips are seared quickly at high heat to retain tenderness, then the sauce is poured in and simmered to thicken. The broccoli is returned to the pan and tossed to coat in the sauce. Sesame seeds can be added as a garnish for nuttiness and texture.
The resulting dish features a rich, velvety sauce that clings to tender beef and broccoli, making a hearty and balanced meal. It is typically served hot over white or brown rice to complement the flavors and provide substance.
The recipe allows for substitutions such as different cuts of steak or cooking oils and adjustments to sauce consistency. Leftover sauces can be thinned with water if too thick. The dish is flexible and straightforward for home cooking.
