Easy BLT Salad Recipe

Easy BLT Salad Recipe - delicious creamy, rich, delicious salad loaded with mayo, cheese, bacon, tomatoes, and crunchy croutons!

Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 romaine lettuce large head
  • 1 pint grape tomatoes
  • 6 lices Bacon cooked, thick-cut
  • cheddar cheese cubed, sharp
  • Texas Toast croutons

Dressing:

  • cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon buttermilk
  • 1 pinch black pepper ground

Instructions

  1. Chop the lettuce and rinse and spin in a salad spinner. Place lettuce in a large bowl and set aside.
  2. Slice the tomatoes in half and add to the bowl. 
  3. Chop the bacon and add it to the bowl with the cheese.

Dressing:

  1. Whisk together all ingredients and pour over the salad and toss to combine.
  2. Top with croutons and enjoy.

Notes

  • This salad tastes best with the dressing tossed with the salad as opposed to drizzled over, it helps give the full flavor of a classic BLT sandwich. 
  • You can use any croutons you’d like but these are my preference.
  • Milk or heavy cream may be used in place of buttermilk in the dressing.
  • This salad can be prepared in advance, but don’t add the dressing until just before serving.
  • This salad should be enjoyed within an hour or two of adding the dressing.
