Easy Cheddar Chicken Sausage Crescent Roll Breakfast Pizza

This breakfast pizza layers crescent roll dough as a crust, topped with fluffy egg whites seasoned with ranch mix, melted sharp cheddar cheese, and sliced chicken sausage. Baking the eggs on the dough creates a soft, savory base, while finishing with sausage and cheese adds texture and rich flavor. This dish is practical for a hearty morning meal or brunch, combining baked dough with protein and cheese in a single pan.

Description

The Easy Cheddar Chicken Sausage Crescent Roll Breakfast Pizza starts by pressing crescent roll dough into a baking dish to form the crust. Egg whites seasoned with ranch seasoning are poured over and baked until set and the dough begins to turn golden. Then, sharp cheddar cheese and sliced chicken sausage are added on top and melted under the oven’s heat, creating a layered breakfast dish with tender eggs and a soft yet slightly crisp crescent base. The ranch seasoning adds a subtle depth to the egg layer, complementing the sausage’s flavor.

This dish works well for breakfast or brunch as a convenient, boost-of-protein meal. The combination of fluffy egg whites and cheese, along with the mild but firm chicken sausage, makes it filling and flavorful. It can be served hot directly from the pan, making it ideal for a family meal or casual gatherings.

Leftovers can be reheated effectively in an air fryer to regain crispness in the crust while keeping the inside soft. Oven reheating on broil can also crisp the edges, and microwave warming works for quick reheats though without crispness. This flexibility in reheating helps maintain the dish's texture and flavor after initial preparation.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 8 oz. crescent roll dough
  • 2.5 cup egg white, 600g
  • 3/4 cup sharp cheddar cheese freshly shredded, 84g
  • 4 links chicken sausage sliced
  • 1 Tbsp ranch seasoning or 1 tsp of EACH: onion powder, garlic powder, salt and 1/4 tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9x13" baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Open crescent rolls and place along the bottom of the dish. Press down to spread and even out along the bottom and part of the sides of the dish. Try to seal the seams as much as possible.
  3. In a medium sized bowl, add egg whites and ranch seasoning. Briefly whisk egg whites to mix in the season and to fluff them up.
  4. Alternatively, you can just shake egg white cartons to fluff the egg whites up and pour over top the crescent rolls, then sprinkle the ranch seasoning overtop.
  5. Pour egg whites over crescent rolls. Place in the oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until egg whites have fully cooked and crescent rolls are starting to turn golden brown.
  6. Take out, sprinkle with the shredded cheese and sliced sausage and place back in the oven. Bake for a few more minutes just so the cheese can melt.

Notes

  • Reheat in an air fryer at 350°F for 4-6 minutes to crisp the crust while keeping the inside soft.
  • Alternatively, reheat in the oven on broil or at 400°F until warmed and edges brown.
  • Microwave reheating works but won’t keep the crust crispy; heat for about 30 seconds until warmed through.
