Easy Cheeseburger Sliders on Hawaiian Rolls (30 Min Meal!)
Description
The recipe starts by browning ground beef and diced onions in a skillet, then seasoning the mixture with ketchup, kosher salt, and black pepper. The Hawaiian rolls are sliced in half horizontally but kept attached. The bottom halves are placed on a baking sheet or dish and layered with cheddar cheese, the ground beef mixture, and more cheese, then topped with the roll tops.
A mixture of melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and everything bagel seasoning is brushed on the outside of the assembled sliders, which are covered with foil and baked at 350°F for 10 minutes. Then the foil is removed and they bake for another 7-10 minutes to melt the cheese and brown the tops, resulting in soft, juicy sliders with flavorful seasonings.
These sliders can be doubled and are versatile in cheese and meat type. They can be served as a quick meal or appetizer and pair well with casual sides like fries or salad.
To prevent soggy rolls, the cheese can be layered beneath the cooled meat before assembling and baking. Leftovers store well refrigerated for up to three days and reheat in the oven wrapped in foil. The sliders also freeze well for months with appropriate wrapping, and can be reheated from frozen in the oven or microwave.
