Easy Cheesy BBQ Little Smokies Casserole

This Easy Cheesy BBQ Little Smokies Casserole combines smoked sausage slices tossed in barbecue sauce layered over partially baked biscuit dough, topped with shredded cheddar cheese, then baked until golden and bubbly. It offers a contrast between soft, fluffy biscuit base, saucy, savory sausages, and melted cheese, creating a casual comfort dish suited for quick gatherings or snack time.

Description

The casserole starts with biscuits pressed into a greased dish and baked just until puffy but not browned. Meanwhile, Little Smokies sausages are halved and sautéed with barbecue sauce to develop a tangy, slightly sweet flavor. These sausages are spread over the biscuit base and generously covered with shredded cheddar cheese. The casserole returns to the oven to melt the cheese and finish baking the biscuits to a golden brown.

The texture features a soft yet slightly crispy biscuit crust beneath tender sausages coated in rich barbecue sauce, balanced by the sharp cheddar topping. It can be served hot as a casual appetizer, party dish, or quick meal.
