Easy Chili Mac Recipe
Description
This recipe starts by browning lean ground beef with chopped onions, building a savory base. Adding beef broth, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, sugar, and black pepper creates a seasoned sauce reminiscent of chili. Elbow macaroni cooks within this mixture, soaking up the liquids and flavor during about 12 minutes of simmering. Stirring occasionally prevents sticking and promotes even cooking.
The final dish offers a tender pasta with a spicy tomato beef sauce that balances heat and depth. Serving with shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream adds richness and cool contrast to the mildly spicy chili flavor. This easy one-pot meal provides comfort with familiar ingredients and straightforward steps.
Suitable for casual dinners when a filling, flavorful dish is desired, it can also be customized by varying seasoning amounts or cheese toppings.
