Easy Goulash Recipe
Description
Easy Goulash Recipe brings together common pantry ingredients like ground beef, tomato sauce, and macaroni noodles in a single pot. Initially, onion, bell pepper, and beef are browned, creating a savory base enhanced by garlic. The sauce ingredients including diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, and Italian seasoning add rich depth. As the macaroni cooks in the sauce, it absorbs the savory liquids, resulting in a thick, hearty texture that’s balanced by the melted cheddar cheese added just before serving.
The combination of softened vegetables, tender pasta, and flavorful beef sauce creates a filling dish suitable for a family dinner. The mixture of seasoned salt, bay leaves, and Worcestershire provides a nuanced savory profile without overwhelming spices.
Simmering the pasta directly in the sauce eliminates separate cooking steps, simplifying preparation and cleanup. Removing bay leaves before serving ensures no bitter leaf fragments remain. Stirring in the cheese at the end adds creaminess that complements the robust tomato and beef flavors, making the goulash comforting and balanced.
Ingredients
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large onion peeled and diced
- 1 green bell pepper seeded and diced
