Easy Green Tomato Salsa Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb green tomatoes
  • 1/3 cup chopped white onion
  • 1 Jalapeno pepper seeded and roughly chopped
  • 3 large clove garlic roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro about a handful
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Clean green tomatoes, and remove the area around the stem.
  2. Cut them into quarters. Then place the pieces onto a baking sheet.
  3. Turn on the broiler and broil the tomatoes for 3-5 minutes or until lightly browned.
  4. Add the broiled green tomatoes and the rest of the ingredients into a food processor.
  5. Pulse in 2-second intervals until all ingredients are finely chopped. Drain the liquid.
  6. Taste and add more salt or other ingredients if necessary.
  7. Place it in the refrigerated for a few hours before serving.
  8. Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy!
