Easy Grilled Avocado Recipe

Report
This recipe grills halved avocados after drizzling with olive oil and seasoning with garlic salt, creating a smoky contrast to their creamy texture. The grill marks develop within 5 minutes, adding a subtle char flavor. Serving the grilled avocado topped with salsa or pico de gallo provides a fresh, acidic complement. The dish is a simple way to enjoy avocado with a warm, slightly caramelized dimension.

Description

The Easy Grilled Avocado Recipe involves halving and pitting avocado, then brushing the cut sides with olive oil or using non-stick spray to prevent sticking. Seasoned generously with garlic salt, the avocado halves are placed cut side down on a preheated grill. About 5 minutes later, defined grill marks form, indicating light caramelization and smoky flavor development. The warm avocado can be topped with salsa or pico de gallo, adding brightness and texture contrast.

The grilling softens the avocado slightly while maintaining its creamy interior. The garlic salt seasoning enhances the natural flavor without overpowering it. The salsa topping adds fresh acidity and a bit of texture against the smooth fruit. This preparation offers a quick alternative to eating raw avocado and can be served as an appetizer, side dish, or snack.

Adding sour cream with the salsa can introduce a cool, creamy element, balancing the smokiness from the grill and the herbs in the salsa. The recipe is straightforward and relies on simple ingredients to let the grilled avocado shine.
