Easy Hot cocoa

Easy Hot Cocoa blends unsweetened cocoa powder and sugar into evaporated milk to create a rich syrup, then simmers with whole milk and vanilla extract for a creamy and warming drink. An optional cinnamon addition gives a subtle spicy note. This hot cocoa offers a smooth, chocolatey texture with adjustable sweetness to suit taste preferences.

Description

Easy Hot Cocoa starts by combining unsweetened cocoa powder, sugar, and optional cinnamon to form a thick syrup with evaporated milk. This base is heated to a boil with constant stirring to ensure smoothness and prevent burning. Afterward, whole milk is whisked in and gently simmered, enriching the drink’s creaminess while developing a mellow flavor. Finally, pure vanilla extract adds a pleasant aromatic touch.

The resulting hot cocoa is rich and velvety, ideal for sipping warm on cooler days. The cinnamon addition enhances the warmth without overpowering the chocolate notes. Sweetness levels can be adjusted by varying the sugar quantity.

Leftover hot cocoa can be refrigerated and gently reheated without boiling to maintain texture. It is best consumed fresh but can be stored for up to three days in the refrigerator. Freezing is not recommended, as it may affect the quality.
