Both methods require straining to remove grounds and yield a smooth concentrate.

Instructions

Instant Pot Coffee Concentrate Instructions

  1. Add ground coffee and water to the Instant Pot insert and stir to mix.
  2. Place the lid on the Instant Pot and turn the valve to the sealing position.
  3. Set to manual pressure / high pressure for 5 minutes.
  4. When cook time is finished, allow for a complete natural pressure release.
  5. Remove the insert from the Instant Pot and carefully strain the Instant Pot iced coffee concentrate.
  6. note: this entire process took approximately 90 minutes.

Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate Instructions

  1. Combine ground coffee and water (using a 1:4 ratio) inside a container and stir to mix.
  2. Cover and let it brew for at least 12 hours out of direct sunlight or inside the refrigerator.
  3. Strain your Cold Brew Iced Coffee Concentrate to remove coffee grounds.

Iced Coffee Instructions

  1. In a jug, pitcher, or carafe mix together 1 part iced coffee concentrate and 1 part water.
  2. If desired, add milk (regular milk or condensed milk) and sweetener to taste.
  3. To serve, add ice to individual glasses and top with the iced coffee mixture.

Notes

  • Use freshly ground coffee beans for best flavor; whole beans ground just before use are ideal.
  • Dark roast beans provide a stronger coffee flavor; decaf is suitable for caffeine-free concentrate.
