Easy Jewish Noodle Kugel Recipe

Ingredients

  • 12 oz wide egg noodles
  • 6 tablespoons butter melted, plus extra for greasing the pan
  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and set aside.
  2. Cook the noodles according to the package instructions.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together cottage cheese, butter, sour cream, milk, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt. Add the raisins and mix well.
  4. Drain the noodles and add to the mixture. Mix until well combined.
  5. Transfer the noodles to the prepared baking dish.
  6. Bake for about 45-50 minutes or until the edges have turned brown.
  7. Optional: you can broil it for 1-2 minutes if you prefer a crunchy top.
  8. Remove the kugel from the oven and allow it to cool for about 15 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make it ahead: You can bake the kugel 2 days ahead. To reheat, bake it in the oven at 350°F for about 15-20 minutes.
