Easy Keto Ham and Cheese Rolls Recipe

These Easy Keto Ham and Cheese Rolls blend shredded mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan cheeses with diced ham and eggs to form dough-like rolls. Shaped into portions and baked until melted and lightly browned, the rolls offer a savory option suitable for low-carb diets. The cheese mixture creates a firm texture that holds together upon baking without flour or traditional dough.

Description

The recipe combines shredded mozzarella, cheddar, and a hard cheese like Parmesan or Asiago with eggs to bind and diced ham for texture and flavor. Mixing these ingredients forms a mixture that can be portioned and shaped into rolls.

Baked at moderate heat, the cheese melts and coagulates to form a slight crust on the surface while keeping the interior soft but set. The variety of cheeses contributes to depth of flavor and a subtle variation in texture, with Parmesan adding a dry, flour-like quality that helps hold the shape.

These rolls can serve as a snack, appetizer, or part of a meal for those following ketogenic or low-carb eating plans. The recipe encourages experimentation with cheese choices but advises maintaining at least one hard dry cheese to preserve texture.

  2. Combine the shredded cheese and egg in a bowl and mix it until the ingredients are fully combined.
  3. Stir in diced ham and mix to combine.
  4. Set out a well prepped baking sheet - greased or lined with parchment or a silpat.
  5. Divide the mixture equally into six to eight parts and form into round rolls.
  6. Bake at 375 degrees for about 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese has fully melted and created a slight brown crust.
