Ingredients
- 1 packet (.22 oz) Kool-Aid flavor of your choice prepared according to packet directions
- 1 cup sugar or sweetener
- 8 cups water
Optional
- 1 box (3 oz) Jello gelatin to reduce popsicle dripping or being as messy to eat.
Instructions
- Prepare Kool-Aid according to packet directions. Once dissolved, add gelatin, if using, and stir until blended.
- Carefully pour the mixture into popsicle molds.
- Cover with popsicle stick insert.
- Place filled molds in the freezer on a level surface.
- Freeze for 6 hours or until popsicles are frozen solid.
Notes
- Amount of popsicles made will depend on size of popsicle molds used
- Calories are based on sugar added NOT sweetener
- Use popsicle molds for the best results. They come in various sizes and shapes and are specifically designed for making popsicles.
- No popsicle molds? Use ice cube trays or plastic cups with wooden popsicle sticks or plastic spoons inserted in center.
- Fill the molds only three-fourths of the way to allow for expansion when freezing.
- Having trouble dissolving the sugar? Dissolve it in boiling water and then add cold water.
- Popsicles must be stored in freezer until ready to serve.
