Notes

  • pie plate
  • Homemade Graham Cracker Pie Crust: To make a graham cracker pie crust, combine 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs, 1/3 cup granulated sugar, and 6 Tablespoons melted butter. Press into a 9-inch pie plate and bake in a 350°F oven for 10 minutes until set. Cool completely before filling.
  • Homemade Whipped Cream: To make additional homemade whipped cream for topping the pie, combine 1 cup cold heavy cream, 1/4 cup powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract in a large bowl. Beat on medium-high speed with a whisk attachment until stiff peaks form.
  • Storage: Because of the cream in the filling, this pie should be refrigerated until ready to serve and shouldn't be left out longer than two hours. Be sure to store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
  • Freezing: You can freeze Kool-Aid pie for up to 2 months. Let it thaw overnight in the fridge before serving the next day.
