Easy Mango Avocado Salsa
Description
Easy Mango Avocado Salsa uses fresh, diced mango complemented by crunchy cucumber, juicy cherry tomatoes, and finely chopped red onion. The mix of fresh lime and orange juice with chopped jalapeños adds brightness and a gentle heat that varies depending on how much pepper is used or if the seeds are included. Cilantro adds a herbal note that ties the ingredients together. The final addition of diced avocado provides a creamy texture that softens the sharpness of the other ingredients.
The salsa’s flavor is lively and fresh with a balance between sweet, tart, and slightly spicy notes. The diced texture keeps it crisp except where the avocado adds softness. Combining the ingredients without mashing preserves these varied textures.
This salsa pairs well with grilled proteins or can be served as a refreshing side or snack with tortilla chips. Allowing it to rest chilled or at room temperature for 20-30 minutes helps the flavors blend and deepen before serving.
Adjust the heat level by using fewer or milder jalapeños, or substitute serrano or habanero peppers for more spice. Removing seeds will reduce heat for a milder version.

- 1/2 cup red onion ~65-75g, diced

- If possible, allow the salsa to rest at room temperature (or in the fridge) for 20-30 minutes to allow the flavors to deepen.
Notes
- Adjust the heat by removing jalapeño seeds for milder salsa or using spicier peppers like serrano or habanero for more heat.

- Handle the diced avocado gently to avoid mashing and maintain a pleasant texture.
