Ingredients

Servings

To make the Spiced Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon clove whole
  • 2 lices ginger fresh

To make the drink

  • 24 ounces cranberry juice chilled
  • 6 ounces orange juice chilled
  • 12 ounces simple syrup chilled, spiced
  • 24 ounces sparkling water substitute prosecco or champagne if tolerated, chilled, or club soda

For garnish

  • 1 orange sliced
  • 1 lime sliced
  • 1/2 cup cranberries fresh

Instructions

  1. To make the spiced simple syrup, add all the ingredients to a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a slow boil, reduce heat to low. Then let simmer for about 10 minutes. Let cool slightly before staining it a small pitcher. Set aside to chill before using.
  2. To make the drink, pour cranberry juice, orange juice and spiced simple syrup to a pitcher or punch bowl. Top with sparkling water and garnish. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • To make a just one serving, you’ll need 2 ounces Cranberry Juice, 1/2 ounce orange juice, 1 ounce Spiced Simple Syrup, 2 ounces Sparkling Water.
  • I prefer to make my own sparkling water using out Drinkmate. You can make it extra bubbly which is perfect for this non alcoholic Christmas Punch.
  • This makes about 2 quarts of punch. Be sure to have a serving bowl or pitcher suitable for this amount.
  • This recipe can easily be doubled or even tripled for larger parties.
  • If you would like to make an ice ring or ice cubes, make the drink, and freeze in the appropriate ice mold. This will keep your Christmas punch cold without watering down the drink as it melts.
  • The Spiced Simple Syrup makes slightly more than needed for this recipe.
