Easy Oatmeal Horchata
Report
Oatmeal horchata is a delicious and refreshing beverage popular in Mexico and other Latin America. It is made by blending ground oatmeal with water and sweeteners like sugar or sweetened condensed milk, then adding spices like cinnamon and vanilla for flavor. The resulting drink is smooth, creamy, and nutty, with a slightly sweet taste that is perfect for a hot summer day. Oatmeal horchata is also a great dairy-free alternative to traditional milk-based drinks, making it a popular choice for those who are lactose intolerant or vegan. With its unique flavor and refreshing qualities, oatmeal horchata is a must-try for anyone looking for a new and exciting beverage.

Instructions
- In a blender, add two cups of hot water along with the oats and cinnamon stick. Let it soak for 30 to 60 minutes (this will allow the rice to hydrate and soften). After soaking, blend the oats mixture at high speed until completely pulverized and the mixture is completely liquified.
- Strain the oat mixture into a large pitcher (discard any residue in the strainer). Add cold filter water, sugar (or condensed milk), evaporated milk, and vanilla, and stir until smooth and well combined. Taste and adjust sugar if necessary. Refrigerate or serve with lots of ice cubes. Enjoy!
