Easy Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich

Easy Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich features thinly sliced beef sautéed with green peppers and onions, seasoned with Worcestershire sauce, and topped with provolone cheese melted inside hoagie rolls. The combination of savory meat, softened vegetables, and melted cheese creates a hearty sandwich with layered flavors and a satisfying texture.

Description

This recipe starts by sautéing sliced green peppers and onions in olive oil over medium heat, covered briefly to steam and soften the vegetables. The pan is then cleaned, and thinly sliced beef is cooked quickly with seasoning and Worcestershire sauce, before mixing back in the vegetables for a combined flavorful filling. The sliced hoagie rolls are filled with this beef and veggie mixture, topped with slices of provolone cheese, and briefly baked in a low oven until the cheese melts.

The sandwich delivers tender, juicy beef with sweet, tender vegetables and mild, melted cheese, all encased in a soft bread roll. The Worcestershire sauce adds umami depth to the meat's flavor. This result is a practical and satisfying sandwich that highlights classic Philly cheesesteak elements prepared easily at home.

  • 1 white onion
  • 1 pound beef thinly sliced
  • salt

  6. Season the meat with salt and pepper. Add the worcestershire sauce and stir once more
  7. Mix in the vegetables with the meat
  8. Open each roll lengthwise, add the meat mixture
  9. Put 2 slice of provolone cheese on top of the meat and put it in the oven on a baking sheet until the cheese melts
  10. Enjoy!
