This no-cook pizza sauce is full of flavor and couldn’t be easier to make. Using simple ingredients like canned tomatoes, garlic, and a mix of seasonings, it’s the perfect base for any homemade pizza. Just whisk everything together, let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes to let the flavors come together, or use it right away if you're in a hurry. Ingredients

  • One oz. canned crushed tomatoes drained, or canned plum tomatoes
  • 4 garlic silvered (very thinly sliced, fresh cloves
  • ¼ teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper ground
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes , more or less adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon dried Italian seasoning or dried oregano
  • basil torn, small handful; fresh leaves
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice or red wine vinegar

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the crushed tomatoes, granulated garlic, Italian seasoning, vinegar, salt, sugar, black pepper, red pepper flakes, oil, and basil.
  2. If using canned plum tomatoes, either pass them through a food mill with a coarse disc or pulse them briefly in a food processor with quick on/off bursts.
  3. Let the sauce sit for 10 to 15 minutes to allow the flavors to blend, or use it immediately.
  4. No cooking is needed—just spread the sauce directly on your pizza dough.
