Easy Remoulade Sauce Recipe
Description
The Easy Remoulade Sauce combines spicy Sriracha with creamy mayonnaise and mustard, balanced by lemon juice and a blend of paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and hot sauce. Mixing these pantry staples creates a versatile sauce with a harmonious balance of heat, acidity, and savory notes.
This sauce can be prepared quickly and is ready to use after whisking, although chilling it enhances the melding of flavors. It pairs well with fried seafood, sandwiches, or as a dip, adding bright spice and richness with minimal effort.
For a New Orleans style variation, adding chopped hard-boiled eggs is an option to add texture and depth. With moderate spice from the Sriracha and hot sauce, it complements a variety of dishes without overwhelming other flavors.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Sriracha sauce 312g
- 1 cup mayonnaise 230g
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder or two garlic cloves, minced
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce to taste, Frank's Red Hot Original
- sea salt to taste, flakes
- ⅓ teaspoon onion powder or 1 tablespoon minced onion (optional)
Instructions
- Put all ingredients into a mixing bowl.
- Then whisk until blended.
Notes
- Let the sauce rest in the refrigerator after mixing to enhance the flavor blending.
- Substitute fresh minced garlic or onion for powders if preferred for a fresher taste.
- Add chopped hard-boiled eggs to convert this sauce into a New Orleans style remoulade.
- Adjust hot sauce amount to control the spice level to your taste.
