Easy Shrimp Tacos
Description
The recipe begins by preparing thawed, peeled shrimp with olive oil and a mixture of spices including garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cumin, and chili powder. The shrimp cook quickly over medium-high heat to develop flavor and a pleasing pink color. The seasoned shrimp are placed in medium-sized flour tortillas.
Toppings are flexible and customizable, commonly including sour cream, salsa, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, cilantro, and lime juice, adding freshness and contrast. The combination offers a straightforward method for assembling tacos with tender shrimp and flavorful seasoning within soft tortillas.
Warming tortillas in the oven wrapped in foil allows quick preparation of multiple servings simultaneously. Variations include using packaged taco seasoning or adding cayenne for spice. These tacos are best served immediately after cooking for optimal shrimp texture and warmth.
