Easy Smokey Chicken Paprikash

Easy Smokey Chicken Paprikash features boneless skinless chicken breasts cooked with onion, garlic, sweet and smoked Hungarian paprika, diced fire-roasted tomatoes, and chicken broth. The sauce is enriched with Greek yogurt for creaminess and served garnished with fresh parsley. This dish offers a mild smoky flavor and tender chicken in a thickened, savory sauce.

Description

This chicken paprikash starts by pan-searing chicken breasts over medium-high heat until no longer pink, then setting them aside while onions and garlic soften and brown slightly. Sweet and smoked paprika powders are added for a blend of traditional and smoky flavors, then combined with chicken broth and fire-roasted tomatoes to create a flavorful simmered sauce.

The chicken is returned to the pan to cook briefly in the sauce, allowing flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly. When removed from heat, plain Greek yogurt is stirred in to add creaminess without overpowering the smoky paprika. A garnish of fresh flat-leaf parsley adds color and a fresh note.

This dish pairs well with egg noodles, rice, or gluten-free pasta for a comforting meal. Adjust salt and pepper to taste before serving to balance the flavors.
