Easy Stovetop Lentil Chili (7 Ingredients)
Description
The Easy Stovetop Lentil Chili prepares a warming chili using brown lentils, canned diced tomatoes, black beans, and chili seasoning combined in vegetable broth. Onions are sautéed first to tender softness, releasing natural sweetness that complements the chili spices. The lentils simmer until tender, absorbing the broth’s flavor and providing a substantial feel similar to meat-based chili.
This chili can be served hot with toppings such as fresh cilantro, jalapeno slices, avocado, or crushed corn chips for added texture and freshness. It fits well as a main dish, especially when seeking a plant-based option rich in protein and fiber.
