Easy Taco Dip Recipe

Easy Taco Dip layers a creamy base of sour cream, cream cheese, and taco seasoning with salsa, cheddar cheese, shredded lettuce, cherry tomatoes, and sliced black olives. The dip combines familiar taco flavors into a spreadable dish that is suitable for parties or casual gatherings and pairs well with chips.

Description

This Taco Dip begins with whipping together sour cream, softened cream cheese, and taco seasoning to create a smooth, flavorful base. Spread evenly in a pan, it is topped with salsa to add brightness and moisture. The cheddar cheese adds a sharp, melted texture over layers of shredded lettuce, cherry tomatoes cut in halves, and sliced black olives, providing fresh and tangy contrasts.

The dip should be chilled before serving to let the flavors meld and the layers set. It is typically served with tortilla chips or other dipping options and can be prepared ahead of time for convenience.

Variations may include adding jalapeños or serrano peppers to increase spiciness or incorporating additional vegetables like corn, bell peppers, or cucumber for extra crunch. Sour cream may be substituted with plain Greek yogurt for a tangier profile.
