Easy Tartar Sauce
Description
The Easy Tartar Sauce blends smooth mayonnaise with chopped dill pickles, lending a crisp, tangy crunch. Fresh chopped dill adds herbal brightness, while lemon juice introduces acidity to balance the creaminess. Minced dried onion contributes subtle savory depth, complemented by salt and freshly ground black pepper for seasoning.
This sauce requires no cooking; ingredients are stirred together until combined, making it a convenient choice for quickly preparing a flavorful accompaniment. It works well with fried fish or shellfish, adding moisture and complexity without overpowering the dish.
The sauce can be served immediately or chilled briefly to meld the flavors further. Its simple composition makes it adaptable to different preferences by adjusting the amount of pickles or herbs.
