Easy Tuna Noodle Casserole Recipe

Easy Tuna Noodle Casserole combines albacore tuna, egg noodles, cream of chicken soup, mayonnaise, and vegetables in a creamy baked dish topped with French fried onions and optional bread crumbs. The casserole offers a comforting blend of tender noodles and savory fish with a crunchy topping. It's practical for using pantry staples and can be baked in one dish, making it suitable for a simple family meal.

Description

This casserole mixes cooked egg noodles with a creamy sauce consisting of cream of chicken soup, mayonnaise, and milk, which bind together the diced onion, celery, peas, and drained tuna. The combination yields a creamy, slightly tangy base complemented by the mild flavor of tuna and subtle crunch from fresh vegetables. The addition of shredded cheddar cheese and French fried onions introduces a layer of sharpness and texture contrast.

As it bakes in the oven at 375°F, the casserole becomes hot and bubbly, while the optional bread crumbs on top can add a crisp crust. This dish is straightforward to assemble and works well as a hearty, one-dish meal. The peas add a pop of color and sweetness balancing the savory elements.

Serving this casserole warm, fresh from the oven, pairs well with a side salad or steamed vegetables for added freshness. It reheats well, making it convenient for leftovers.
