Eggnog Latte

The Eggnog Latte combines rich, creamy eggnog with strong brewed espresso or coffee to create a festive warm beverage. Heated eggnog is frothed to a velvety texture and combined with espresso shots, then optionally topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg for added spice and garnish. This latte provides a seasonal twist on a classic coffee drink with smooth and spicy notes.

Description

This Eggnog Latte uses ½ cup of eggnog heated and frothed to create thick, foamy milk alternative base, complemented by two shots of espresso or very strong coffee to provide a robust, caffeine-rich flavor. The heating can be done with a microwave or stovetop, and the frothing adds creamy texture similar to a traditional steamed milk latte.

Optional toppings include whipped cream and a dusting of cinnamon or nutmeg, which enhance the aromatic experience and add a hint of warmth and spice fitting for holiday occasions. The drink can be made with a milk frother or a milk steamer, adjusting the eggnog temperature and froth density as desired.

For a more adult version, some drinkers may add a shot of rum, bourbon, or brandy to introduce depth and warmth. In absence of espresso, strong brewed coffee or instant espresso powder can be used instead, making the recipe flexible.
