Eggnog Quick Bread Recipe
Description
Eggnog Quick Bread Recipe blends traditional holiday flavors into a soft, moist quick bread. The dry ingredients include flour, baking powder, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt, which balance the creamy butter, eggnog, sugar, and eggs to produce a tender texture. Baking in a loaf pan ensures an even bake and a golden crust with a soft interior.
The accompanying eggnog cream cheese frosting combines softened cream cheese and butter with eggnog and bourbon, giving the bread an indulgent finish with a silky glaze texture. Gradually adding powdered sugar adjusts sweetness and consistency, allowing it to drizzle smoothly over the cooled bread. This frosting complements the warm spices with its creamy, slightly boozy richness.
This quick bread serves well at breakfast or as a dessert paired with coffee or tea. The loaf shape enables easy slicing for gatherings or lunchboxes. Chilling the bread before glazing helps the frosting set nicely on the surface. The recipe’s detail on gradual mixing and baking times helps achieve an even texture without overbaking, preserving moistness.
