Espresso Martini
Description
The Espresso Martini recipe combines vodka with coffee liqueur (such as Kahlúa) and a measure of freshly brewed espresso or cold brew concentrate. Simple syrup adds mild sweetness to balance the natural bitterness of the coffee and the spirit’s strength. Shaking these ingredients vigorously with ice chills the drink while creating a slight frothy texture from the espresso.
Straining into a chilled martini or coupe glass results in a clean, smooth cocktail with a deep coffee aroma and subtle sweetness. The garnish of coffee beans adds a visual accent and mild aromatic hint. This cocktail is served immediately to preserve its temperature and texture.
The espresso should cool slightly before mixing to avoid diluting the drink by melting ice too quickly during shaking. This classic cocktail suits evening social occasions where coffee and alcohol combine in a refreshing form.
Ingredients
- 2 ounces vodka we like Tito's
- ½ ounce coffee liqueur such as Kahlúa
- 1 ounce espresso freshly brewed*, or cold brew concentrate
- ½ ounce simple syrup
- ice
- coffee beans for garnish

Notes
- Allow freshly brewed espresso to cool slightly before shaking to prevent rapid ice melting and dilution.
