Description
This hummus recipe begins by blending tahini with olive oil to create a smooth base, then processing chickpeas, garlic, lemon juice, water, and kosher salt to reach a creamy consistency. Ingredients
- 1/2 cup tahini sauce
- 1/4 cup olive oil , divided
- 1 garlic finely minced, clove
- 30 ounces chickpeas rinsed and drained, canned
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt coarse
- 2 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine tahini and 1/8 cup olive oil. Blend well to emulsify.
- Add chickpeas, garlic, lemon juice, water and coarse Kosher salt. Blend until smooth.
- Slowly add remaining 1/8 cup olive oil until the desired consistency.
- Remove to serve dish or bowl, top with Everything Bagel seasoning.
- Serve with vegetables, chips or pretzels.
