Fat Elvis Monkey Bread

Fat Elvis Monkey Bread layers biscuit pieces with sliced bananas, crumbled bacon, and a melted mixture of butter, peanut butter, and brown sugar, baked in muffin tins. The result is a pull-apart sweet and savory bread with creamy banana slices and pockets of melted chocolate chips sprinkled on top for an added touch of richness.

Description

This Fat Elvis Monkey Bread is prepared by layering sliced bananas and biscuit dough pieces in individual muffin wells, then drizzling generously with a warm sauce made from melted butter, creamy peanut butter, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. The sugar mixture caramelizes as the bread bakes, creating sticky, sweet edges contrasted by salty, crispy bacon bits integrated throughout.

The inclusion of banana slices adds softness and fruity flavor, while mini chocolate chips sprinkled after baking bring additional sweetness and texture. The biscuit dough forms tender, fluffy layers that absorb the peanut butter brown sugar sauce during baking.

Served warm and inverted out of the muffin tins, this monkey bread functions as a unique, hand-held treat combining sweet, salty, creamy, and fruity elements in a single dish. It's well suited for brunch or dessert.
