Feta Dip
Description
Feta Dip combines cream cheese and crumbled feta for a rich, tangy base, enhanced by the addition of plain Greek yogurt to lighten the texture and add a subtle tang. Garlic, dill, and oregano contribute aromatic and herbal flavors, while lemon juice brightens the overall taste. The recipe’s smooth texture is achieved by blending softened cream cheese until smooth before incorporating the other ingredients. Serving suggestions include toasted naan bread, crackers, pita chips, pretzels, French bread, or fresh vegetables for dipping.
This dip can be served immediately or stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator to let the flavors meld. For a warm variation, baking the dip covered at 350°F for 25 minutes softens the cheeses further and intensifies the melded flavors. The use of dried herbs helps maintain a stable shelf life and blend well with the creamy base.
With simple ingredients and straightforward preparation, this feta dip offers a creamy, savory accompaniment suited to various snack and appetizer occasions, balancing richness and acidity in each bite.
