Five Ingredient Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
Description
The recipe requires mixing peanut butter, light brown sugar, egg, and baking soda before folding in chocolate chips. Small dough balls are formed and baked at 350°F for about 9 minutes. Letting the cookies rest on the hot baking sheet after removing from the oven allows residual heat to complete cooking without drying them out.
These cookies have a straightforward ingredient list but balance sweetness and nuttiness. The baking soda provides leavening for a light texture despite the dense peanut butter base. Cooling on a wire rack prevents sogginess and preserves cookies' shape and chew.
Ingredients
- 1 cup peanut butter creamy
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ cup chocolate chips gluten-free if necessary
Instructions

- Mix all ingredients except for the chocolate chips.
- Stir in chips and form into 1 inch balls. I scooped mine with a mini ice cream scooper.

- Remove to a wire rack to cool.
