Ingredients

  • 2 flatbread 6 to 8 inches in diameter, pre-made
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • onion powder to taste
  • garlic powder to taste
  • oregano to taste, dried
  • red pepper flakes to taste, crushed
  • 2 tomatoes thinly sliced, small
  • 4 ounces mozzarella cheese sliced, fresh
  • 8 basil plus more for garnish, fresh leaves
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper fresh ground, to taste
  • balsamic vinegar for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 425°F.
  2. Brush or rub the olive oil over the flatbreads. Sprinkle onion powder, garlic powder, dried oregano, and crushed red pepper flakes over the oil.
  3. Layer the sliced tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil leaves on the flatbreads. Season with salt and fresh ground pepper.
  4. Bake the flatbread pizzas until the cheese is bubbling and turning light brown in spots, about 10 to 15 minutes.
  5. Serve the pizzas immediately. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar or olive oil and sprinkle torn basil leaves on top for garnish.
