Freezer Breakfast Sandwiches

These Freezer Breakfast Sandwiches assemble a seasoned mixture of ground beef and breakfast sausage formed into patties, paired with baked fluffy eggs and melted cheese, all sandwiched inside toasted English muffins with butter and a touch of syrup. The sandwiches are designed for making ahead and freezing, providing a convenient, hearty morning meal.

Description

The recipe begins by baking a mixture of eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a sheet pan, yielding a firm but fluffy egg base that can be sliced or portioned. Separately, ground beef and breakfast sausage are combined with spices like brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning, then shaped into thick patties and pan-seared to develop a savory crust while cooking through.

English muffins are toasted with melted butter and a drizzle of syrup for added flavor. The sandwiches are assembled with cooked sausage patties, egg slices, and cheese melted together inside the toasted muffins. Wrapping in parchment or plastic wrap allows freezing and easy reheating, making these sandwiches suited for quick breakfasts or meal prep.

The inclusion of both beef and sausage provides layered savory flavors. Optional milk in the eggs keeps them light and soft. The brown sugar and spices in the patties balance the savory meat, while cheese adds creaminess.
