Freezer Chicken Wings
Description
Freezer Chicken Wings are prepared by boiling frozen wings in seasoned water containing salt and spicy peppers, which helps to infuse heat and tenderize the meat. Once boiled for 15 minutes, the wings are transferred to a broiling pan and broiled in the oven to develop a crisp, golden exterior, flipping once to brown evenly. Meanwhile, a wing sauce mixed with butter is warmed to coat the wings later. After broiling, the wings are tossed in the warm sauce to combine the flavors and create a sticky, flavorful coating.
This technique allows cooking wings straight from frozen, saving preparation time and ensuring a tender interior with a nicely crisped skin. The spicy seasoning blend and rich sauce contribute layers of heat and richness. Wings are commonly served as an appetizer or party snack and pair well with dips or celery sticks.
For storage, cooked wings can be cooled completely then sealed in freezer bags and kept frozen for up to three months. Thawing in the refrigerator is recommended before reheating in the oven at a moderate temperature until warmed through to maintain texture and flavor.
