Freezer Smoothie Packs
Description
This recipe features four different smoothie combinations designed for freezing as ready-to-blend packs. Each quart-sized bag contains a balanced mix of fruit such as strawberries, bananas, mango, blueberries, and cherries, paired with complementary ingredients like peanut butter, chia seeds, oats, spinach, shredded coconut, flaxseed, Greek yogurt, and honey. Liquids such as milk or coconut water are added only at blending time, offering freshness and texture control.
Frozen flat, the packs save freezer space and can be quickly loaded into a blender. Gently warming the bag or jar before blending helps to loosen frozen contents. The blended smoothies vary in flavor and nutritional profile depending on the chosen pack and liquid, making them versatile for breakfasts or snacks.
The technique enables bulk preparation and storage of nutritious smoothie ingredients for convenient daily use, reducing preparation time and minimizing waste.
Nutrition facts for the Strawberry Banana variant using almond milk are provided as a reference. The flat freezing method helps manage freezer organization and portion control.
