Fresh Herbs, Garlic and Salt Rub
Description
The Fresh Herbs, Garlic and Salt Rub combines carefully prepared fresh rosemary needles, sage leaves, thyme leaves, and oregano leaves with peeled garlic cloves and whole black peppercorns. Upon washing and drying, the herbs and spices are chopped uniformly in a food processor to integrate their flavors evenly. Fine sea salt is then mixed in, which acts as both flavor enhancer and preservative.
This rub offers a fragrant and savory seasoning perfect for rubbing onto meats or vegetables before cooking. Its mixture of piney rosemary, earthy sage, and aromatic thyme and oregano creates a classic herb profile enhanced by pungent garlic and warming black pepper.
The jarred mixture can be stored sealed to keep fresh and used as needed to add herbal depth and seasoning to various preparations.
