  • 8 cups water divided, 2 litres
  • 3 cups granulated sugar 600g
  • 7 peaches
  • 1 cup lemon juice freshly squeezed, 250ml

Instructions

Make The Peach Syrup

  1. Mix together the sugar and 3 cups of water in a saucepan and add in the whole peaches.
  2. Place the saucepan over a medium flame and stir occasionally until the sugar has dissolved.
  3. Bring to the boil and boil for 2 minutes.
  4. Switch of the heat and allow the syrup cool with the peaches in it.
  5. Strain and decant into a container and keep the peach simple syrup in the fridge until required.

Make The Peach Lemonade

  1. In a large pitcher, combine 1 ¼ cups peach simple syrup, 1 cup fresh lemon juice and 4-5 cups of water.
  2. Chill in a refrigerator till needed.
  3. Add ice to some glasses or mason jars and top with peach lemonade and any garnishes.

Notes

  • Use the reddest skin peaches for richer color and a mix of orange and white-fleshed peaches for flavor depth.
