Ingredients

  • 2 bananas
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and slice them into 1/2” thick slices.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium high heat.  Then whisk in the honey, cinnamon and salt.
  3. Carefully add the banana slices and cook them for 2-3 minutes on each side.  The bananas should be golden brown and caramelized.  Watch them closely as they cook so they do not burn.
  4. Then move the bananas to a plate lined with a paper towel.
  5. Then serve as is or over ice cream or on top of pancakes or waffles.  Enjoy!

Notes

  • You will want to use firm bananas for this recipe so they do not get too mushy when frying them.  You want them to be just ripe.  
  • Store the leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
