Creamy Sriracha Dip

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 Tablespoons sriracha
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Beer Battered Fried Green Beans

  • 1 1/4 pound Green bean washed and trimmed, fresh
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups beer
  • vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the ingredients for the sriracha dipping sauce. Cover and refrigerate while you move on to the next steps.
  2. Toss the green beans with 1/2 cup of the flour until well coated.
  3. In a mixing bowl or pie plate, mix together the remaining 2 cups of flour with the cumin, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and salt. Slowly add the beer, stirring well until it creates a thick batter.
  4. Heat 1-2 inches of vegetable oil in a large pot or Dutch oven to 375F. Dip the green beans into the beer batter, then very carefully drop into the hot oil (this might be best to do with heat-proof tongs). Fry the green beans in small batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Very carefully remove them from the hot oil and drain on paper towels.
  5. Serve the green beans warm with the sriracha dipping sauce.
