Frozen Burgers in an Air Fryer

Frozen hamburger patties can be conveniently cooked in an air fryer until juicy and cooked through. The patties cook at a consistent temperature, and flipping halfway ensures even doneness. Adding cheese near the end melts it lightly, ready for assembling with buns and desired toppings. The air fryer method provides a quick way to prepare burgers without thawing.

Description

This recipe shows how to cook frozen burger patties directly in an air fryer set at 375°F. The patties can gently overlap since they shrink during cooking. Air frying for about 10 minutes with a flip at the halfway point ensures the burgers cook evenly inside and develop a cooked outer texture.

Optionally, cheese slices are added shortly before finishing, allowing them to melt slightly on the warm patties. Serving includes buns and common burger toppings such as lettuce, tomato, bacon, onions, and pickles, allowing personalization.

The air fryer eliminates the need for thawing, making this method practical for preparing burgers quickly. Adjust cooking time for thicker patties as necessary.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 2 burger patties or more, frozen
  • 2 Buns
  • 2 lices cheddar cheese optional
  • toppings ie lettuce, bacon, red onions, tomatoes, pickles

Instructions

  1. Add frozen hamburger patties to the air fryer. Mine fits two patties. It’s ok if they overlap a tiny bit because they’ll shrink.
  2. Air fry at 375°F for 10 minutes, flipping at the halfway mark if they’ve overlapped. Increase the cooking time if your frozen patties are thicker.
  3. If adding cheese, place them on top of your patties and air fry for another minute.
