Frozen Potato Wedges in the Air Fryer

Perfectly crispy and golden frozen potato wedges cooked effortlessly in the air fryer. A 2-ingredient and 15-minute recipe.

  • 1 lb potato wedges 450-500 g, frozen
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F/200°C (mine needs 3 minutes).
  2. Toss the frozen potato wedges with the oil. You could add more spices if desired (Note 1). 1 lb/ 450-500 g frozen potato wedges + 1 teaspoon oil
  3. Air fry: Place the wedges in the air fryer basket and cook them for 10 to 15 minutes shaking the basket twice in between. The potatoes should be crispy and golden brown.
  4. The cooking time depends on the size and brand of the potatoes (Note 2).
Equipments used:

Notes

  • Additional spices: For instance, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, dried herbs like rosemary or thyme, or a pinch of chili powder for some heat. Sprinkle the spices onto the wedges before cooking them in the air fryer.However, before adding spices, always check the ingredient list on your bag of potatoes. If they are already very salty or very spicy, use just a pinch of salt and leave out hot spices like cayenne or red pepper/ chili flakes.
  • Cooking times may vary depending on the thickness of the wedges and the specific air fryer model. It's recommended to start with the recommended cooking time and adjust as needed to achieve your desired level of crispness.
