Fruit Infused Water
Description
This Fruit Infused Water involves placing chosen fruits into mason jars, pouring water over them, and gently crushing the fruit to encourage flavor release. Optionally, fresh mint can be added for an herbal note. Chilling the mixture for at least an hour allows the ingredients to infuse thoroughly.
The resulting water has a mild, naturally sweet taste complemented by the aroma of mint if included. It provides a refreshing alternative to plain water and an easy way to enjoy seasonal fruits.
This recipe is versatile, accommodating various fruit combinations tailored to personal preference. Serve chilled with ice for best refreshment.
Ingredients
- 3 mason jars 12 oz each
- 1 cup Fruit
- 3 cups water
- 2 mint optional, leaves
- 1 cup ice
Instructions
- Place the fruit of your choice in the bottom of each of the mason jars (approximately 1/3 cup per jar).
- Pour the water into the jar and stir the fruit around. Press the fruit gently with a spoon to slightly smash the fruit so that it releases some of the flavors into the water.
- Then add mint leave is you prefer and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
- Top with the ice right before serving and enjoy!
Notes
- Experiment with different fruit combinations to customize the flavor of your infused water.
- Press the fruit gently rather than blending to avoid cloudiness and maintain clarity.
- Allow the jars to refrigerate for at least one hour to develop noticeable flavor.
- Add ice just before serving to keep the water cool without diluting the infusion.
